    Readiness Assessment

How do you improve your organization's chance of success in implementing Business Intelligence or a Data Warehouse? The first step is to understand the potential risks that your project faces. Once you understand where the potential problems lie, you can develop and implement a plan that will eliminate or avoid these problems.

The Data Warehouse Readiness Assessment engagement evaluates organizational and technical factors that are known to cause BI and Data Warehouse projects to fail:

    • Sponsorship, alignment and decision making characteristics
    • External factors and source data quality and availability
    • Skills and resource availability and competing initiatives
    • IT environment, processes and information delivery tools

The eight factors are rated using a 10-point scale (10 being “best practice”). A rating of seven or higher indicates a good probability of success. Lower ratings indicate risks. Once the analysis is completed, we develop a work plan to minimize the risks and improve the probability of success.
